The Future of Law is here. Join us!

The College of Law Practice Management presents “In Tune With the Future,” a conference focused on demonstrating how the future of legal practice has already arrived. The 1.5 day conference will take place in Nashville on 24-25 October 2019 and features over 40 experts presenting examples of the future in practice today. We’ll also hear from the 2019 InnovAction award winners! I’m serving as conference co-chair, alongside Teresa Walker, Chief Operating Officer emeritus of Waller, and former president of the Association of Legal Administrators.

The conference will be hosted by Belmont University College of Law. After two years of single-topic conferences, this year the College goes back to the future. At the conclusion of the first day’s programming, we will move to Nashville law firm Waller for a welcome reception where we will combine the Nashville music scene with law practice innovation. On Friday, there is a full day of programming followed by the 2019 College of Law Practice Management Fellows Induction Ceremony and Dinner at the headquarters hotel, the Loews Vanderbilt. Rumor has it there may also be an impromptu jam session of the talented musicians in the Fellows community.

We're excited to be in Nashville – "Music City" – because it provides an excellent backdrop for demonstrating how an evolving industry can adapt and thrive. We'll learn how incumbents and disruptors in music have navigated their way through a fast-changing industry and see innovations that are making music more accessible – for musicians creating it, for consumers enjoying it, and for the many contributors along the way. The Futures programming will showcase the immense breadth and depth of talent found in the Fellows of the College of Law Practice Management.
